Arty – Zara

Memories by Arty: “The fact that Anjunabeats guys picked up my tracks really surprised me. At that time I was looking for the best label to sign “Rush” for like three or four months, and I thought that I had just made that track for myself. But then I sent it to Anjunabeats after a bunch of other labels that didn’t respond to my submissions. Then, Anjunabeats picked the track and they came to me and asked to make another mix. It was a huge success, and so we just started to work together. After “The Wonder” and “Zara,” we released even more tracks together. Tony, Paavo, and Jono are really good guys and they really know what’s going on on the scene.”

“Back To Earth” is another stunner from the great back catalogue of Cosmic Gate classics that feature on their forthcoming album. From the very first day after its release, every top DJ picked it up and hammered it for weeks on end. It must be the sheer energy that makes the track, ’cause both Jochen Miller and Arty delivered two incredibly driving versions that turn “Back To Earth” into killer state of the art floor fillers.

Arty’s seen a phenomenal rise in the short 14 months since we gave him his debut release on Enhanced Progressive. “Man Of The Moment” is a term often used, but we feel there is absolutely no other way of describing the young Russian right now. Back on Enhanced Progressive with another brilliant Original, Arty turns out two versions of Twilight Tonight. Remixes come from two of Enhanced Prog’s favourites, MoodFreak and D-Mad.

‘We Won’t Forget’ is an emotional ride of a track, with a grand build-up, a deep-seated melody and a scintillating, distortive saw, with a bitter, raw edge to it all. He lets the bass hit in hard, making ‘We Won’t Forget’ an excellent highlight in whatever epic night. The most requested remixer of the moment, Russian producer Artem Stolyarov – working under the Arty moniker, provides this release a more prog-trancy approach to ‘We Won’t Forget’. At the speed of sound, his popularity rose, with his remixes for Reverse and D-Mad rocking the Beatport Trance charts weeks in a row, and remixes for Ferry Tayle and Tritonal scorching the clubs alike. Luckily, Arty found the time to also deliver this one, cause it’s about to take you in on its warm wave of big room sounds.

Mike Foyle pres. Statica – Blossom (Arty Remix)

Mike Foyle returns to light up Coldharbour’s summer of 2010, with a double shot of melodic progressive trance grooves which have been much anticipated for many months. Up first is ‘Blossom’, a track which soothed the mind of many when listening to Disc 1 of Markus Schulz’s Las Vegas ’10 compilation. The original subsequently became a fan favorite on Markus’ Global DJ Broadcast radio show, with regular plays as the seasons changed from winter to spring. On remix duties for ‘Blossom’ is one of the undoubted breakout talents of 2010, in the form of Russian Arty. Already a strong presence on Global DJ Broadcast playlists thanks to his plethora of originals and remixes, he makes his Coldharbour Recordings bow by giving ‘Blossom’ more of a big room feel, and was a highlight as Markus kicked off another Ibiza Summer Sessions season.

Memories by D-Mad: “From the very first acquaintance with Arty’s works I realized that this guy will go really far. I strongly supported this talent as much as it was only possible. Artem wasn’t in debt for long and prepared a stunning remix for my track ‘She Gave Happiness’ back in 2010. We’ve been waiting for it for 6 long months, but the result was worth it. We certainly expected that this remix should blow up, but did not expect that it will happen so loud. Needless to say, Artem was the first Russian to reach #1 line on Beatport’s Top 100 Trance Chart. 4 years have passed since its inception, and it still sounds fresh! Bravo!”

Alex Pich – Tinctures (Arty Remix)

Perceptive Deep surfaces with the help of Russian producer Alex Pich. Alex’s ‘Tinctures’ typifies the sound the label represents and was therefore a natural selection for our debut release. Remixes come from fellow countrymen Arty and Dmitry Bessonov who take a totally different approach to that of the original. The former offers a tasty club friendly version where as the latter brightens the overall feel. Completing the proceedings is Sunn Jellie, a rising Ukrainian artist with an accomplished progressive sound.

Carlos Almedia aka Miikka Leinonen brings his groovy progressive sounds to Alter Ego, and what a way to do it. Devilish synth stabs dominate the atmosphere while a plucky lead whisks you along in the mix, not forgetting the chunky groove of course! Russian producer Arty works his progressive magic on Fat Yet Horny and whips up a smooth yet powerful rendition. A crisp and amazingly well produced remix that works perfect through the warm up sets! To complete this single Mark Sonus provides a final remix with a unique take on the track. Crafting some extra melodies has really brought his mix to life.

Austin’s finest Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed return to Enhanced with another stand out release. Utopia is without a doubt one of those ‘instant’ records that quite literally slaps you about the face repeatedly with its quite brilliant arrangement! With a bassline worthy of rocking any crowd, and a synth line to die for, we’re pretty certain this is the boy’s best instrumental track yet… and having heard what they have in store for 2010, don’t be surprised if Tritonal is a name on everyone’s lips come the end of the year. Remix duties fall to the undeniably brilliant Arty; another fantastic talent to look out for this year, and as with his Trapeze remix, he delivers a brilliantly lush and slick rework of the original.

Ferry Tayle & Static Blue – Trapeze (Arty Remix)

Kicking off 2010 in quite emphatic style, the Ferry Tayle & Static Blue duo lands with the long awaited follow up, Trapeze. Having seen heavy support to all the mixes on Armin’s ASOT and Above & Beyond’s TATW, the hype is a boiling point already for this superb release. The original has everything you want in an uplifting trance track; drive, power, lush melodies and heavenly vocals. Remix duties fall to Daniel Kandi, who’s mix has already been made Tune of the Week by World No. 1 Armin van Buuren, and Arty, whose Digitally Enhanced Intro Mix has been used by Above & Beyond to open all their recent shows, and by Will Holland on his Digitally Enhanced Vol 3 compilation.

After Coldharbour release ‘Harbour’ and S107 vocal track ‘Broken Wings’, Danilo Ercole kicks off the year with ‘That Same Song Again’. A bit of a tricky name for a progressive clubcracker such as this one, cause yes please, we would like to hear ‘That Same Song Again’! With a deep bass and provoking kicks, Ercole shows he’s able to translate his Brazilian temperament into an inflammable proggy trancer for the dancefloor. Arty remix of ‘That Same Song Again’ kicks in with a higher pace and deeper, more techy impact.

Solarity – Laika (Arty Remix)

04 Solarity - Laika (Arty Remix)

Solarity’s trademark productions have caused a sensation worldwide, gaining dancefloor and radio play from some of the world’s biggest DJs. Support includes Armin van Buuren, Hernan Cattaneo, Jody Wisternoff and Dubfire. Laika originally started out as a remix for Enhanced but it was so good we just had to give it an original release. Having been a staple for the majority of 2009 in the warm ups of Will Holland at Digital Society this has become something of and early doors anthem for the coolest trance night in the UK (Mixmag). Now backed with a bumper remix pack, this is sure to set dancefloors alight this autumn with its huge synth-lead breakdown and pounding progressive undercrackers!

Comment from Arty: “Alpha9 was my alias signed with exclusive rights to Flashover Recordings. It was a great experience working with Ferry Corsten and his team and it was one of the first releases that got huge support from the djs.”

Arty – Gentle Touch / Logic Symphony

02 Arty - Gentle Touch (Original Mix)

Arty landed in superb style back in May with his debut triple header on Enhanced, Vanilla Sky / Love Inside Out / Absynthe, which saw support from DJs across the EDM genres including Paul van Dyk with its melodic trance with house undertones. Add to that the release of the month in DJ Magazine and you could say it was an accomplished debut from this hot talent. Gentle Touch kicks things off with yet again a killer bassline and simple hook lead, whilst introducing a brilliant piano line later in the track to devastating effect. On the flip Arty delivers Logic Symphony, yet again showing a different side to his sound and yet again absolute quality.

Perpetual are Fredrik Lindblom and Henrik Collin who have been together and releasing quality trance since 2001. They debut on Enhanced with a singer that’s no stranger to the label, Tiff Lacey with the slick ‘Restless.’ If groovy melodic prog is your bag then this will surely find favour with you. Remixes come from Enhanced stalwarts MoodFreak, Arty and newcomer Matt Holliday, ahead of his ‘Your Touch’ release later this year.

When it comes to the true Balearic sound, you won’t find anyone better in this than Roger Shah! That’s why I had no doubts while signing “Sunset / Day After Day” EP on Shah Music back in 2009.

Memories of Incognet (Digital Motion): “It was one of the first remixes that Arty has ever created as far as I know, and it really complemented the original by a reworked melody and very actual drop for that time. I knew for sure that it has a great potential – thanks to the fact that Artem created a really fashionable and beautiful melodic sound. That remix was just excellent and to me personally – one of the best remixes on my tracks ever made!”

Will Holland (Enhanced Music): “I remember going back and forth with Artem on several demos until we had the ‘Vanilla Sky’ EP completed; I could see his natural talent and he was so eager to work on the tracks – I knew from the start that he would go onto great things and I’m not surprised to see how well he’s done with his career so far! This was his first of many releases for us and it caught peoples attention, and was awarded ‘Tune Of The Month’ in DJ Magazine… not bad for a debut release!”

In the second single of Arty called “Get On” you can hear pretty unusual sound: less emotional melodies and more of the tribal beats and rhythm accents. It’s one of these experiments you make while searching for your own unique sound.

Arty’s memories: “I still remember how fun it was working on this EP. Me and Misha Kitone made these 2 tracks sitting in a night club at the day time. And we used only ONE sound monitor that we took from the dj booth. Even though it was wrong equipment, wrong environment, wrong mix down, nobody really did care. It was all about making music and having fun. And somehow it became my first official release and “Inside of Me” was the first track, supported by Above & Beyond.”
